CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY INVESTIGATIONS
2 Day Course

The goal of this course is to provide the experienced investigator with the knowledge and tools to successfully target and dismantle organized criminal conspiracies (gangs, drug, fraud, vice, traditional and non-traditional groups) using a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional approach known as the "Integrated Approach for Combating Organized Crime". The concepts offered in this course are time tested and have been used to effectively dismantle complex criminal organizations and/or "take back" communities that had been previously controlled by drug and street gangs. The course highlights specialized investigative techniques and case management methods that have been used to successfully administer investigations involving multiple suspects engaged in a multitude of criminal acts over a long period of time. Emphasis is placed upon investigative strategies that allow for charging all criminal activities committed by members of the organization in one "global" information or indictment utilizing laws such as Conspiracy, the Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organization Act (RICO), Continuing Criminal Enterprise (CCE) and Hobbs Act.

This 2-day course is for drug investigators, general crime detectives, intelligence personnel and investigative supervisors, designed to provide effective and efficient investigative strategies to enhance "historic" and protracted criminal "conspiracy" investigations. The course is ideal for those involved in investigating or monitoring conspiratorial groups engaged in multiple criminal ventures. The course offers the student multiple techniques for uncovering "cloaked or hidden" crime and for successfully developing and managing "complex" multiple defendant and multiple offense investigations.
